The research lines of this lab did not arise in parallel. They derive from one another, in the order the questions appeared: perspectives on the same reality. What holds them together is the same question, at different scales.

Trauma e psicoterapiaTrauma and psychotherapy
Co-fundação do NET-TRAUMA (2003), coordenado desde então.Clinical training and the first question: why do people exposed to the same event follow such different trajectories? Co-founding of NET-TRAUMA (2003), coordinated ever since.
The clinical question descends to blood: neurotrophins and inflammatory markers in trauma psychopathology. Findings that contradicted the literature of the time and were sustained.
Personalidade, resiliência e o objeto socialPersonality, resilience and the social object
Temperament and character as response architecture; and the proposition that the collective instance is introjected at the same level as caregivers — context stops being background and becomes constitutive.
Burnout e dinâmica institucionalBurnout and institutional dynamics
If context constitutes, workplace distress is a systems phenomenon, not an individual one. Development of an in-house work environment instrument (WEEI) and Brazilian validation of the Copenhagen Burnout Inventory.

The 2024 Rio Grande do Sul flood opens a population-scale cohort. What protects is not absence of exposure: it is the network that sustains — and it can be measured.
Carga alostática, neurodivergência e alto custo de processamentoAllostatic load, neurodivergence and high processing cost
The convergence: architectures that process a great deal, at high cost. Interpersonal helplessness, epistemic trust and multisystem containment as faces of the same economy — described within the person, over time, rather than in group averages.
